EFT CANADA COMPLETES MOVE TO CLOUD

Toronto, ON, December 22, 2016 – EFT Canada Inc. (“EFT Canada” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has completed shifting EFT Canada’s infrastructure and client applications off-premise and into the cloud. During its migration to the cloud, the Company has closed its two on-premise data centres.

Following a review of EFT Canada’s existing IT infrastructure, it was realized that cloud based services would be ideal for the business due to the growing, but fluctuating, bandwidth demands. Furthermore, cloud computing reduces hardware costs by following a pay as you go model, thereby allowing capital to be deployed to other growing areas of the business. The clouds elasticity allows EFT Canada to add virtual servers and storage within minutes, making expansion cost effective and fast.

Vladimir Mironov commented, “Many new skills had to be learned. It took time and effort to transform EFT Canada into a cloud-native company, but it put us in a much better position to continue to grow and service our client portfolio. Supporting our growth would have been extremely difficult out of our own data centres.
